The truth always leaves traces.
Montreal, October 2025. At the former Angus Shops, retired dog handler Émile Boucher and his faithful companion Tango unearth a military medallion containing a USB key. For Morgane Hébert , a former SQ investigator turned security consultant, it's a bombshell: the object belonged to her best friend, who disappeared without a trace in 2005.
Consumed by guilt, Morgane refuses to let this secret die a second time. Surrounded by an elite team — a special forces legend, an independent profiler and a genius hacker — she follows the trail to the far reaches of the desert.
There, under the shadow of the Al-Sayf empire and the merciless gaze of Colonel Zahir , lives are erased to serve a system that defies comprehension. But the real danger isn't only in Dubai. In Montreal, in the corridors of power, some are ensuring that the silence remains eternal.
The past is not dead. It is simply waiting to be set free.
