The Calm After the Storm (Logistics Version!)

You can prepare for months, plan every detail, adjust every last comma, and hold your breath when launching pre-orders... but there is always a moment when the whirlwind of a release slows down.

That's what they call, in quotation marks, "the calm after the storm."

Shadows of Dubai is now out in the world. The pages are traveling... and that's when the real magic (and the logistical sweat!) begins. Because between us, an author's "calm" looks a lot more like this: a dining room table transformed into a packaging station, piles of bubble mailers, shipping labels, markers ready for dedications, and daily trips to the post office.

It's meticulous work, but it's so rewarding. Slipping in a personalized note, knowing exactly where each copy is flying off to, and holding the book in your own hands to ship it to a reader makes it all so real.

The whirlwind of technical settings and going live has settled down, sure, but the artisan machinery is running at full speed!

And you, are you the type to devour a book the second it arrives in your mailbox, or do you like to let it wait a little while on your nightstand pile? ☕📖
